Raising Funds to Reduce Unemployment for as Little as R50 | An Initiative by Startup Picnic Academy and SP Foundation
For as little as R50, you can fund rapid skills courses for young people. These courses empower participants to earn an income with their new skills within weeks of completion. We offer rapid courses in areas such as hairdressing, sneaker cleaning, nail technology, barbering, electronics repair, business launch, job readiness, and more.
This initiative is organized by Startup Picnic Academy, SP Foundation, and various Public Benefit Organizations in townships and villages. We already have over 100 young people on our database ready to receive these skills, in areas such as Mamelodi, Jane Furse, Wattville, and Siyabuswa.
Since 2016, Startup Picnic Academy has run training programs with both NGOs and corporations, including SOS Children’s Village, Moonshot Pirates, DHL, and Standard Bank.

Startup Picnic Academy has partnered with SP Foundation and other PBOs to collect donations for rolling out the program. SP Foundation was set up to raise bursary funds and curate tangible youth development programs. Donations will be audited, and our partner organizations can issue Section 18A tax rebate certificates.
Contact us for further details. All donors will receive an appreciation certificate. Join us in empowering young people with real skills that can take them anywhere in the country and beyond.
